Srishti Shrivastav's profile

Print for Accessories | Laptop Bags

This print project, initiated as a classroom assignment at NIFT, served as a creative exploration into the versatile applications of print design as a skill.
Inspired by the grandeur of Lal Qila in New Delhi, the project's theme resonates with Islamic art styles, reflecting a harmonious alignment with its aesthetic essence.
The iconic Lal Qila, or Red Fort
established by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan at the new capital Delhi in mid-17th century, stands as a remarkable achievement in urban planning, seamlessly connecting royalty to the city and fostering mutual sustenance. This historical marvel serves as a profound inspiration for this project. Particularly, the Diwan-I-Am, or the courthouse for the general public. Its existence highlights, how great rulers give importance of appreciating one's surroundings and the communities they belong to in order to flourish as a kingdom.
Exquisite Pietra Dura or Marble Inlay adorning the King's throne within the Diwan-I-Am.
Motif development inspired by the walls of the king's throne
